MAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Shipping Flowers . . . is simple.
You will need:

1. A Styrofoam picnic cooler barely bigger than your flowers.

2. For packaging, crumbled newspaper or tissue paper

3. Large plastic bag

4. A purchased frozen coolant or coolant gel pack (Blue Ice) or you can make a cool pack by taking 2 large zip lock bags and put one inside of other. Fill the inside bag with ice cubes and seal. Take a folded paper towel and add it to the second bag’s sides and seal. During summer months, use two packs to keep your flowers as cool as possible. Put these in freezer until ready to pack your flowers for shipment.

5. A cardboard box large enough to slip cooler in.

Pack your flowers as follows:

1. Tape your frozen pack to your cooler’s bottom. Be sure it’s secure by turning the cooler upside down to see if cool pack comes undone.

2. Make a pillow with crumbled tissue paper or newspaper. Place it on top of the cool pack.

3. Place the flowers on the pillow of paper with all the flowers facing up. Secure your flowers. Fill the box to the top with more crumbled paper so the flowers do not shift during transit. Spread the plastic bag over the packed flowers and tape it to the sides of the cooler to hold in cold and insulate flowers.

4. Place cooler in cardboard box for shipping. If cooler slides inside box, make sure that it is steadied by filling sides and top with paper.

5. Before taping box close, make sure that you include the filled order form provided on this site with all your vital information, and the $100 deposit (non-refundable) required to start the pressing process. (we cannot start the process without a deposit)

Mailing Your Flowers:

1. Your flowers MUST be shipped overnight. We recommend the US Post Office. You may use a different carrier, but make sure that they guarantee overnight delivery.

2. Pack your flowers and try to ship them between 1 and 3 pm so your flowers do not sit for hours in a warehouse awaiting shipment.

3. Mail to: Blooming Memories
